Building out a model that was driven by the business metrics and the client could update or run different scenarios with. This included a full balance sheet and cash-flow model. The model can be updated monthly with actuals for reporting, and we support with commentary each month as well as roll-forwards / refresh the forecast for the year
With a 6 month lead-time, working with a client to take their professional services business to market. Putting in place regular monthly reporting decks, Board minutes, and working with the leadership in all aspects of Due Diligence preparation ahead of time to minimise business disruption later on. Also supported the owners with the various requests from potential acquirers during Diligence and negotiating on value multipliers
Established a sales tool for reps to use when negotiating new business, to protect margin. Prior to this there was limited visibility around 'base line' pricing.
Alongside this, put in place a sales bonus scheme that incentivised the team at the right price-point.
Migrating a client onto an appropriate ERP finance system (moving from spreadsheets) and getting staff trained up. Also putting in place an appropriate chart of accounts to provide better management reporting visibility (revenue streams, departments etc). On-going support with month-end reporting, KPIs and management information.
